Ashdon Gardening Club

Whether you are a first-time gardner or ‘know your onions’ the Ashdon Gardening Club is a friendly club and welcomes new members.

Meeting in Ashdon Village Hall every 3rd Thursday in the month @ 7.45pm from September to May.  June & July are outside visits!

Ashdon Lunch Club

We meet in the Baptist Chapel Hall – usually on the third Wednesday each month.
All Ashdon Senior Citizens (60 +) are welcome!

Ashdon Womens Institute

We meet at 7.30 pm in Ashdon Village Hall on the second Thursday of the month (except August).

Our meetings are very friendly where tea, coffee and cakes are served after our speaker of the month.

Ashdon Players

 A small group of people made up of people from Ashdon and surrounding towns and villages.  The range of experience is mixed from novice to experienced performers.  

Our only production is the infamous Ashdon Pantomine held every year in late November.

An amateur drama group started in 1994 who specialise in one act plays.  Once a year we produce a play and supper evening for the village.

Young Farmers

A Club for 16-26 who enjoy the countryside but are mainly up for fun. We meet most Tuesday evenings in the Kings Arms, Saffron Walden at 8pm.

The Friends of All Saints Church Ashdon

A charity established in 2002 to raise funds for the preservation of our lovely Grade 1 listed Church building, which dates back to the 13th century.

Village fundraising events have in the past included Safari Supper, Kite Festivals, the annual Open Gardens, Arts & Crafts Fairs, Auction of Promises, and several concerts.
They have all been successful and great fun.

Buffy Bus

Enables families with pre school children to come together within their own community.

Visiting Church Field every Friday morning from 11.00am until 12.30pm. 

A voluntary donation of £2.50 for a child and £1 per additional child.

Ashdon Walking Group

 Meet at 9.30am each Monday, except bank holidays, at the Baptist car park to walk the village footpaths.  A leisurely stroll of approximately 1.5 hours.  Just turn up!

Ashdon Kickboxing

Ashdon Kickboxing Classes are run by 2 Black Belt qualified instructors and take place on Tuesdays 7-8pm in the Village Hall. Kickboxing is a great way to improve your fitness, learn a new skill, de-stress and enjoy yourself in a relaxed atmosphere.

New members are very welcome.

Ashdon Quilters

Meeting on the first Monday of the month in the Church Rooms at All Saints Church at 7.30 pm.  A very knowledgeable group of ladies happy to lend a hand and guide you.
