The first entry in the Ashdon Parish Council register is dated 1894! In the years between then and now, the Ashdon Parish Council has had an important role to play in many aspects of Parish life. The council is elected every 4 years.
Some of the issues the Parish Council deals with include Village maintenance, consideration of planning applications, provision of recreational facilities, support for various activities and events, liaison with government agencies such as Highways and Environment, and much, much more.
