Ashdon Village Hall is situated in the centre of Ashdon’s Conservation area and is an attractive building, the first part of which is the only thatched Village Hall in Essex. The second part is a comparatively new building which is now the Main hall and was opened in 1997. The Main Hall provides light, airy, spacious accommodation for your event whether it’s a children’s birthday party, meeting or club evening.


Our Community Hub is powered by Gigaclear Hyperfast 900Mbps broadband and is included with your hire.
Facilities:
Ashdon Village Hall comprises:
- a main modern hall with a seating capacity of 100
- Gigaclear Hyperfast Broadband (included with your hire)
- a meeting room
- a modern kitchen and storage areas
- male and female toilets including disabled facilities.
- a moveable stage
- up to date cinema system
- a system for showing power point slides
- plenty of car parking space including an overspill car park


Regular users of the hall include:
Exercise and Pilates classes Mondays and Wednesdays,
The Bowls Club on a Monday evening,
Kick Boxing on a Tuesday,
Dog Training on a Tuesday,
Drama on Wednesdays,
Yoga and Koryoda on Thursdays,
The Women’s Institute meet once a month (2nd Thursday) as do the Gardening Club (3rd Thursday).
The Village Hall Committee meets alternate months on a Thursday.

We have many children’s parties weddings, film shows, quizzes etc.
The smaller hall is used for meetings and additional space for parties.
